Those Nervous Animals
The Mission Sessions

Those Nervous Animals came together in Sligo in 1981. Forty years later they are about to release their first complete studio album. 'The Mission Sessions' (named for a Georgian House in Union Place where the band were based) contains music from every decade since their first (single) release, 'JustWhat The Sucker Wanted' in 1984. They did go on to release a series of much celebrated singles (and a mini album, 'Hyperspace'). Massively energetic live, on record Those Nervous Animals created some of the most memorable melodies in Irish rock, including 'The Business Enterprise (My Friend John)'. Those Nervous Animals were originally produced by Bill Whelan (of Riverdance fame), and since that time by a series of notable producers – including Donal Lunny, Trevor Knight and Gerry Leonard. This collection is a 50/50 mixture of newly recorded material from lockdown#1 in the summer of 2020 and loving remasters of songs from across four decades. 'The Mission Sessions' is released in a limited edition 180-gram vinyl, with a double-sided printed insert. Digital download code included - emailed to you on release day.
